Amanda Braun is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a BA in Geography and History, focusing on historical research, GIS, and geographic cultural studies. She has extensive work and volunteer experience in public and academic libraries.
Photography is her passion, and she loves to write about it. As an amateur photographer, she has won multiple awards in local photo contests, including "Best of Show" awards for the 2009 and 2010 Shelby County Applefest and placements at the 2010 Shelby County Fair. Her gear includes an Olympus Evolt E-520 DSLR, three lenses, a set of macro rings, and other odds and ends. Her camera goes everywhere with her.
She currently works as a GIS technician for a utilities company.
